Sara Quinn is an educator and artist based in New Orleans.

As a “lifer” at the Paideia School in Atlanta she learned early that school could be a place where your mind is known and nurtured.  She received her B.A. from Wesleyan University in 2011, spending one semester at Bank Street Graduate School of Education.  Sara went on to teach in New Orleans’ public schools for 5 years, certified in both elementary education and special education.  She led professional development in arts integration and anti-racist teaching practices.

She began her associate level certification in Orton-Gillingham instruction with Laurie in June of 2016, tutoring students in person and via Skype, and co-creating and illustrating an O-G curriculum.  She led 5 months of intensive professional development at the Hawthorne Valley Waldorf School through daily model lessons and teacher coaching.

Sara also writes, illustrates and binds books that she hopes will help all different kids navigate and create a world that is more tender, more just, and more beautiful.
