Laurie J Cousseau - Founder

Laurie is an accredited training AOGPE Fellow (Academy of Orton Gillingham Practitioner and Educators), owner and Director of Green River Literacy. Laurie was previously Director of The Kildonan Teacher Training Institute and has more than twenty years of experience as an educator working in a variety of settings: independent schools, a public charter school, a working farm, and Amherst College.
She has a Master of Arts in Reading Education, holds Level II certifications as a Reading Specialist PreK-12 and Middle Grades English Language Arts, is a Certified Academic Language Therapist and is Certified by the IDA as a Dyslexia Therapist. In North Carolina, she was the Associate Director of Teacher Training at an Academy accredited school for dyslexic students. She has had extensive experience providing 1:1 and small group tutoring at both the Associate and Certified levels. She has served on a number of boards including the NC branch of the IDA. She has widely presented at a number of regional conferences and schools and was an adjunct faculty member at Baypath University.

Tutoring Staff

The Green River Literacy Team is made up of Orton-Gillingham Trained and Accredited tutors with vast experience supporting literacy education in school-age students. Tutors hold degrees in education, as well as additional certifications in reading instruction. In addition to literacy intervention, Green River Literacy offers tutoring in math as well as speech-language therapy.

Speech-Language Pathology

Carly Seibald, MS CCC-SLP in a NY and MA state licensed speech-language pathologist with over 10 years working with students with and without special needs. She is the former Director of Speech and Language at Children’s Academy, NYC and has owned and operated her private practice, Social Sprouts SLP since 2012.
